Hey Laura! Some recommendations: Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target. Also, if you are still unsure as to where you will live in a few months, maybe it would make sense to ask for gift cards or do the "dollar dance" where people give you a dollar (or however much they want) to dance with you. Just some ideas.
One thing that I will suggest is that for sure if you don't know where you are going to be do the gift card thing (that is something that your parents & wedding party can pass around through the family/friends) This way you won't have to worry about packing and shipping and all that - HOWEVER - on the registry note: Something that I learned from registering is that Target no longer accepts your gift registry as your "gift receipt" (like if a guest forgot to give you a gift receipt - and some people won't because they want you to have the gift they give you).
So what we did was registered for most of our things at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that we could and then for Target we did our camping stuff and some games so that at least we would get some of that stuff.
Other than that we registered at Home Depot so that Chris can get some tools (for our couple's shower) and then also at Crate and Barrell for our dishes, flatware, glasses, etc.
Sweet!!! Thanks for the tips. Actually we know we're going to be in Chicago, so we'll see - but the gift card thing sounds like a good option too. We started looking at Crate and Barrel, but haven't made it official yet because it was our first registry outing and I'm sure there's a lot on that list that is going to be ommitted. ;)
Keep the advice coming!
Thanks so much!
Woa nilly! There's baby stuff on this registry! Is there something you want to tell me? J/k. I'm so excited for your wedding! Did I understand right that you need us there then on Friday at 5pm? Sorry I can't e-mail you, but I can't write e-mail from work. I thought this would be as good as an e-mail. Hugs!! Julie
Baby stuff?!?
I'm a little confused by your comment. But, alas, I'm excited too.. just 32 days away, it's crazy!
